IW, an interesting thought regarding the BOD composition.

I am wondering who would be interested in taking on the onerous job of Company Director in current circumstances?

If I were JP, I would want nothing more than a chair warmer, someone who comes cheaply and has a short career span.

Someone who will listen, keep their mouth shut, do as their told, and let him get on with the job with the help of experienced consultants.

The last thing he needs is some with an overinflated idea of their ability, hard to handle, and who is wants to radically change the direction of the company. Steady as she goes is the answer.

No big names needed at this stage of the project, unless of course, he is going to use them purely as a means of impressing shareholders. All IMO.
