Imo, even if the shorts don’t evaporate immediately on paper, the big dogs will get the same outcome (just not visible to retail) by hedging circa $5M in the cap raise, offsetting their circa 50M short positions.
The net result, either way, will be that they effectively cover all their shorts under 10c….?!

They might even buy plenty more to lure in retail via the impression of a “fully subscribed” CR. Nothing like inspiring a bit of confidence in retail to take more of their money!
