I think the resource and the technology is proven. Proof of concept has been evidenced, DFS has been completed, and the project is some what derisked.
Whether this is enough for a genuine private equity firm to buy in, well that all depends on the detail of the deal and what price per share is agreed upon for the stage that this project is it. Private equity firms usually have 7-10 year investment horizons and appoint a director to the board under many contractual conditions that might be difficult for LKE to agree to. It wouldn't be an easy deal to make, furthermore private equity firms usually don't buy into currently listed firms.
$100 million at 11 cents, in 4 tranches over each quarter for 1 year?
I still don't think now is time and LKE would be in stronger position even if they waited 3 months.
