Opel, ADO is no different to any other speculative ASX listed company. In the absence of success they need to exist and to exist they need a board of directors hence the interests of the BOD takes precedent over shareholders. The executive need to keep receiving their salaries that in most cases are highly inflated in alignment with ongoing lack of fiscal achievements. These people don't really care who they milk or how they go about it, as long as they survive. It would be very rare to see a chairman or CEO suffer financially as a result but always the loyal shareholders who get the short end of the straw.
