We could see multiple announcements to come on the back of this. Hence, the need for a trading halt.
There may be more to this announcement than just the seeming value of our government underwriting the project. The Directors of RNU may then decide to move forward with the project's graphite mine and concentrates by making a Final Investment Decision (FID). Additionally, it can provide one of our anode player’s with the motivation to create their own FID in line with these developments. So, there may therefore be a lot of backdoor talks taking place.
DC's is also scheduled to speak at a battery conference in Korea on Monday of next week. An anode player may therefore be able to seize the opportunity before all information is made public. With Albo's latest declaration, the notion that Australia is a business-friendly nation is guaranteed. All of this is before we are fully aware of the contents of the May budget. Maybe, our government recognises that with DC at a significant Battery Conference event next Monday, it is a potential avenue to further Australia's global profile so they acted early.
Whatever happens, FOMO is with the anode players.
