It's basically just his way of "spreading the gospel", the only reason that some believe that these so called "gaps" need to be filled, is because they believe it. There is no underlying reason as to why a chart means anything really.
So these so called traders must spread their gospel so as many people as possible believe in it, then it becomes a self for filling prophecy.
