Will pretty much have to do a consolidation, with ~2.5 billion shares on issue prior to this raise. And would not think there is much point in a small raise, given the current state of the company. May as well test the appetite of those true believers, should they be able to find enough, and rip the bandaid off with as large a raise as possible.
Can't see the company buying back shares anytime soon, but would be happy to be wrong on that point.
