    Its got nothing to do with numbers of share held
    to qualify for 708 sophisticated, you need to have at least $2.5M in net assets or 2 years of income of $250/- and get a certificate that you qualify for 708 status.
    The email you received is a "sounding" so if you have a 708, you call them back, they ask for proof and you go from there
