Yes, I fell into a bear trap here, good & proper. No excuses. I was seduced by the thematic of providing glamour to the oversized female AND a downwards spiralling share price with an industry legend buying in. I thought the inventory bungle was just a cash flow timing issue, but I was unaware of the bad merchandising selection which subsequently resulted in massive fire sales that seriously damaged profits, cash flow and reputation.
Plus, I have really been re-educated on Buffetts stance on the importance of quality management. It ain’t here in CCX and I am curious to see what Blundy does.
Overall, lessons have been learned and thankfully, my buy price was around 55c for a small spec holding.
Perhaps add to the above, the inordinate amount of time one spends on the problem shares in one’s portfolio.
