I appreciate your interpretation of the shorting house process, and believe your pretty close to the mark when conditions exist. There are also times when a company proves it's robust profitable and the future trading conditions look fair that rerating takes place. Market, Institutions , might like the growth potential it perceived in the America's.
However as I'm here enjoying the ride of my profit after getting back in at 44c then taking initial capital off table at $1.32!
I don't think I can smile harder without breaking into a belly laugh!
