My mind, did not venture into the possibility of fear or warning -- when i first read this announcement.

The trading halt is requested pending an announcement by the Company with respect to a capital
raising.

I initially thought -- " An Opportunity" has arisen -- where EXR have been offered or come across, some MORE possible exploration allotments...for Exploration and Development into the future.
Australia (and the world) NEED Gas as a viable transitional Energy source and the last couple of days of NEWS announcements of the Governments backflip on Gas and shortage, had me thinking that -- some more sites may be appearing.
My opinion is -
Once Grandis is Sold Off -- The companies resources can be focused onto EXR's latest New Allotment in Qld, (that should already be going through Pre-exploration preparations), whilst we await the results of Nomgon in Mongolia, and the ongoing exploration of the additional Four or Five Basins in Mongolia, whilst still juggling the possibility of GobiH2 Hydrogen and Solar/Wind ---

Exploration and Development companies DO NOT stop when a single site is Proven Commercial and on-Sold to a Larger Producer.
Nor do they close down if one site fails --

GOOD money can be made on the success of Individual Sites -- but the Investment Strategy and level of Profits are up to the Individual Investor.

I do not know, if we have an Investor Offering to join with Finances -- I Do not Know if Management have Identified " Additional sites " for possible exploration and development --I also do not Know if we need cash for some unforeseen problem..

All is Speculation.
