RAMPANT SPECULATION:

Seems that LDA can only make decent money when there is a margin between what they bought the shares for and what they can sell them at.
Knowing that the price will automatically fall to the cap raise price anyway, they have to bank on selling their shares during the recovery.
If the share price is shaky (lacks strong support) and/or most buyers are only willing to buy at bargain prices, then LDA might be less inclined to support the capital raise. i.e. maybe this time they said "No - we don't think your minimum price is realistic." Hence, BRN went elsewhere to raise funds to top-up the bank.

That doesn't bode well for our hope that BRN will soon announce some positive news.
