The whole airline industry in Oz is a joke, allowing predatory pricing and transfer of margins where some parts of the business subsidise others. Imagine if the iron ore market was like this.

Ultimately customers and businesses get screwed then government props the incompetence up with bail out money like in USA. The Qantas sale was in 1992

There should be more regulation where pricing is set for longer periods for each carrier based on various principles. Albo and ScoMo do not want this because they prefer more expensive Sydney options and trickle down screwing over workers and the regions, Australians but more kickbacks for politicians like with uber to promote us hegemony and imperialism
