I'd think they'd need to drop it a lot more than that - Niobec operates on a 0.5% head grade quite profitably. But I take your point. At the end of the day CBMM need more mines online if they want Nb to viably move into the battery thematic. OEM's will not take the risk of supply from a single asset. That's what makes these deposits so incredibly important. Here's a salient fact for you - niobium pentoxide substantially reduced charge times down to 6 minutes (instead of 3 hrs for 80% charge in conventional LI ion batteries), while enhancing battery life by up to 20,000 cycles. Tell me that's not a reason to let other mines open so they can access that market...
