The way I see it, they would only go into a trading halt for equity funding if they thought or knew the outcome was going to be positive. Imagine going into a TH then announcing a negative result. They've been burnt by trading halts before!
If they thought for example a 50/50 chance, they'd keep trading, if the outcome was not as expected they'd tap the 2nd fund looking to invest or keep working on the SWF, probably wouldn't even need an announcement until the outcome of the 2nd fund was known.
For that reason I think we'll have some very good news next week - probably Monday.
