Now one could say this allows a significant player get on board without being faced with the supply/demand constraints and escalating share price on the open market ahead of good news.

If this is a single placement and they stomp up a cool $10M in hours then I suspect good news may be around the corner. No doubt this is at a discount rate, but that would most likely be influenced by the need to raise the $10m in a short timeframe to go boom boom on drilling.

Who in their right mind would double or triple the drill program if the initial results show no sign of potential, the only winner there would be the drilling rig company.
