A bit late to be joining in all the speculation, but here goes....

The trading halt was requested pending an announcement by ADO concerning the counterparty, i.e EV1. In their request they also say the announcement “is related to” the counterparty so the use of the word “concerning” should not be of any concern.

It won’t be over the issue of whether it is a Commercial Order or not, as ADO repeat that term in their request for a TH.

I also don’t think the expected announcement will reveal EV1 or will go into any possible deals.

So what else could there be in the announcement that could be a cause of concern for the counterparty?

The original announcement talked of a “step change” and “next generation” plans. Ultranode is being evaluated in parallel with current developments, i.e. AnteoX. Evaluations are to take place over coming months, supporting both current and future goals.

This despite ADO announcing in December 23 that EV was buying $60,000 of AnteoX. This flags they are still undergoing the evaluation now and will be for at least the next few months.

All this signifies to the market and to competitors that EV1 is still a fair way from making a decision re Anteo X, and could be a long, long way from making any decision re Ultranode i.e. the step change mentioned in ADO’s announcement.

So, it will be a two stage process and may give competitors a good idea as to what stage EV1 is currently at.

It also begs the question that, if testing is being done in parallel, would it not be possible to go straight to next generation?

If ADO has given away too many secrets to EV1’s competitors, I’m not sure how they can shove the genie back into the bottle. Maybe that’s why it’s taking a bit longer to draft the announcement.
