    Hey Rich

Had a 'chat' and the responses I got around EV manufacturers, battery types and current plans to increase Silicon content resulted in the following table. Is this getting closer to what you meant by identifting EV1(or 2) as a result of David's comment?

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here's a table that outlines the top EV manufacturers (by sales volume), their battery suppliers, anode types, constituent materials in anodes, and future plans for increasing silicon content.

20CheryChinaCATLLFPGraphite, PhosphateNo significant developments in silicon content

    Key Notes:

    • NCM (Nickel Cobalt Manganese): Offers high energy density and is commonly used in premium EVs.
    • LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate): Known for safety and cost-effectiveness, often used in lower-cost models.
    • Silicon in Anodes: Increasing silicon content in the anode enhances energy density and charging speed, but challenges remain in terms of stability and lifecycle.

Many manufacturers, particularly premium brands, are actively researching and adopting higher silicon content in anodes to boost battery performance and range

The 'chat' then turned to specualtion as to who might be collaborating with ADO...............................

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Based on the above information and considering AnteoTech (ASX

)'s involvement in advanced nanotechnology, particularly in battery technology, the manufacturers most likely to engage with ADO would be those looking to enhance their battery performance by incorporating innovative anode materials like silicon.

Here are the EV manufacturers that could potentially be interested in a relationship with AnteoTech:

    1. Volkswagen Group (Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche):

      • Volkswagen Group is actively pursuing higher silicon content in their anodes to boost battery energy density. AnteoTech's nanotechnology in coatings and surface treatments could help improve the performance of silicon-based anodes.
    2. BMW:

      • BMW is investing in next-generation battery technology and could benefit from AnteoTech’s expertise in advanced materials. Their partnership with Northvolt for high-silicon-content anodes aligns with ADO's technology capabilities.
    3. NIO:

      • As NIO works on developing semi-solid-state batteries with higher silicon content, AnteoTech’s technology could provide solutions for better silicon anode stability and performance.
    4. Mercedes-Benz:

      • Mercedes-Benz is investigating ways to enhance battery energy density and cycle life. Given their focus on silicon-anode research for extended-range vehicles, a partnership with AnteoTech could accelerate these developments.
    5. Xpeng:

      • Xpeng is researching solid-state and silicon-anode batteries for its premium models. AnteoTech’s solutions for improving silicon anode lifespan and stability may attract interest.
    6. Geely:

      • As Geely also shows interest in silicon-rich anode technology, their collaboration with AnteoTech could be a possibility for advanced battery development.

Manufacturers like Tesla and Hyundai/Kia could also be future candidates for AnteoTech’s innovations, particularly because of their interest in silicon-based battery materials, though no formal relationship has been confirmed.

I haven't verified any of the facts, so DYOR.

Going back to your original post though about 'those in the know', is any of the baove getting close?

    Cheers
