YES - not only execs but I see the NED's have even got a pay rise from $60k to $130k. what are they doing to justify this, a few years ago this is what BHP/Rio would be paying an NED, I seriously doubt the workload is the same. i don't mind a little bit of largesse IF we get all the money from the settlement. they have done a good job overall but they are putting the cart before the horse and doling out the attaboys before shareholders have gotten a cent, not a great look. here's hoping there is the next USD30M in the bank as we speak and I will be more forgiving.
also I thought shareholders had to approve payrises or at least announce it separately (see for example recent RIM release ), the board can't just vote themselves extra money? someone please clarify
