You are right about a life style company for the insiders as far as I can see.
And I too was gob smacked when I read the headline, "an acquisition". Unfathomable.
I've said for a long time that there are two types of company leaders. Those that are in there to build something, to treat shareholders and their investments as sacred, using skill and integrity and intelligence to create wealth and jobs. They are the sort that Warren Buffet seeks out.
Then there are those who don't care about any of that, just to do the minimal necessities, to remain compliant, to make it look like something is being done. Taking their salary, high salary often, along the way. They when money runs out, they run out.
There are two types of those too. The blatant ones who don't care that their methods are patent. And those who are clever at making it look like they are doing something real. Clever enough to hoodwink shareholders, regulators, observers.
I know the company was the first time under TO's and AB's leadership. Not sure what it is now, but not that.
