I’ve been buying it for years and it’s gluten and nut free, bar the almond meal, and damp with the cointreau and rum-soaked fruit and when the subject turned to food I did suggest tipping it upside down and pouring Juniper Freak all over the base and then letting it soak, but maybe it will get eaten before any of that happens.
I buy it from a tiny hole in the wall cake shop called BittersweetBake in Mosman Park and was thrilled to see the baker there had already started making them when I called in last weekend.
It is getting to that season again isn’t it.
And wouldn’t it be cool if there were more good results before Christmas to spike the price from any cap raise/silly season doldrums?
And I told them how I was staying with a daughter and taking her and a friend out to Sydney restaurant where they make caramel out of fish eyes, and use the scales and stuff, and they asked how many Spartan shares I was going to have to sell, so I guess that’s the new currency up in Dalgaranga.
And moreplenty I really liked the friendly, supportive and trusting energy that those two shared, and when they talked how experienced and excellent are the teams up at Dalgaranga, I knew it to be true
And they liked the good energy here on Hot Copper too.
Anyway I’m very proud to be invested here, and to actually know a lot of the story.
There is nothing fishy about the company, but still I’m going to toast them all at my restaurant tonight with both gratitude for the past and confidence in the future : )
cheers
