Of course I have read everything. probably 3x if I'm being honest.
The situation EQR is currently in is one of Declining the QIC deal and going for a smaller raise via a sophisticated placement. Rules for a public share holder placement are more cumbersome so I do not blame EQR for getting the money asap and the easiest way possible. Odds are anyone that wants shares at 4.5c will be able to get them on market. Boo hoo no options? buy an extra 30% on market at 4.5c and you just saved yourself the 2.25c that you would of needed to convert also no risk of not converting as under water.
But back to the situation at hand. Do you believe EQR did the wrong thing by declining the QIC deal and raising capital via a placement and the Square deal? If yes please explain your reasoning.
