I didn't jump on during the weekend. Nevertheless, JMacca pretty much nailed it. Google up S708 Sophisticated Investor requirements. After that it is just a matter of setting up accounts with brokers and sniffing out the deals you want. It's just a bit of an admin process to get setup.

As word of caution. You give up a bunch of regulatory protections as an S708 and can get sent a bunch of shit. You'll be asked to make a decision on a deal in normally just a few hours and you've got no idea as to how the stock is going to trade/react to the raise news as it is in TH the whole time.

Case in point... there's every chance that MEU could trade down to the raise price, or even lower, (I say this just as an example to make the point... not saying it will... in fact I've just bet money on saying it won't) at which point you could just pick them up yourself on-market with less of the effort and risk. It can be a bit of a double-edged sword.

A lot of the time, even if I'm interested in the deal, I'll wait till it comes out of halt and just buy afterward on market, so I get an idea of how the market has reacted to the raise.
