Yeah you would think either they have an idea of the CSF NfL results, or they feel the currently known results are strong enough to already plan for AA application.
I’m tempering my expectations with NfL tbh. Minute 41:30 of webinar Stamler discusses the plasma NfL initial observations that they haven't disclosed yet, saying they aren't currently seeing much change at all in Plasma NfL for both treated and placebo patients. Interesting plasma NfL isn't changing for placebo group when their UMSARS is changing a lot as predicted. This observation for placebo group is different to what Classen poster 2024 showed, plus the Beijing 2024 paper Pivalde shared couple weeks ago. CSF NfL levels likely more sensitive to MSA degeneration as closer to the source (just an assumption, someone please correct me if otherwise) so we may still see a difference placebo vs treated for CSF levels, hopefully it does. Chatgpt does point out that not all studies including NfL in MSA shows correlation between NfL levels and disease progression, suggesting for some patients NfL jump up in early disease but stay stable whilst the patient progresses. Interesting to keep in mind if our CSF don't show much difference vs placebo.
Also been thinking about Stamler mentioning at 56:30 that the earlier stage disease patients within the 201 cohort are showing better results on first look. It will be small numbers but I hope they expand on this subgroup. Lundbeck's effect roughly doubled when they did this subgroup analysis so could give us a nice talking point. Cheers
