Re IV/sepsis - I'm pretty sure the bloodwork showed that they couldn't get concentrations high enough in the blood to make it worthwhile. Why bother with all those years of P1 IV trials if they were just going to shelve it and go for a low hanging fruit topical administration? An IV sepsis trial would actually be really quick. Sepsis typically kills within a few days, plenty of patients to trial on, they could smash through a P2 in a few months.
So either, i's taken 8 years to go for low hanging fruit, which would mean mismanagement at an incredible level. Or, as I suspect, they were forced into topical administration as a backup (last resort?) because of the pharmacokinetics of Recce juice.
But I must say, I am looking forward to some data tomorrow.
