Im curious does the nature of sepsis raise any issues? Surely it would be near impossible to do any form of double blind placebo type trial treating a disease that is so deadly so quickly?.
All that being said it is strange they have always said sepsis is a target yet to date we have not heard any report of a case of sepsis being treated directly even in emergency access, or did I miss that? I have always been curious how the body would deal with die off of bacteria if applied, but to date it seems iv has always been for healthy patients only. Even for urinary infections is die off an issue when actual bacteria is present?
Ultimately i guess if it can be used for some form of treatment there will be a market, just a shame it may not be the big news target they hoped?
