Gas re-injection has been successful in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Just to mention quickly, success depends on the composition of the injected gas and the in situ gas condensate fluids, as well as the optimum gas injection rate and injection pressure. Rock properties such as porosity, permeability and fracture connectivity (if natural fractures are pressent).
Economics will depend on gas price, condensate (oil) price, capex, opex etc., and the amount of additional condensate recovery achieved.
