Unfortunately they don't have a crystal ball, you could flip that argument and say why didnt you sell last year and avoid what followed.
In fairness every lithium developer, producer, investor etc has been hanging their hat on prices bottoming and recovering all the way down to where we are now. Quite a unique situation where the industry is still heavily concentrated among few names who had their time in the sun and built a decent pile of cash to weather a prolonged downturn. Had the previous rally not been so high, supply discipline would have been much swifter and severe than what we have seen.
No mention of prepayment in the announcement.
