Plenty of negative sentiment here lately—and fair enough. Although too much isn't exactly helpful. I’m balls deep in the red too, definitely overextended and not thrilled with the current SP.

That said, in my opinion EXR’s fundamentals haven’t changed, and progress—while slow—is still progress. High risk, but potential high reward mid-to-long term.

Occasionally I like to check in with our AI overlords for a laugh, to see what they think of our situation. Pure speculation, but always interesting to see what they spit out.

    Yesterday offered a potentially positive spin on the reason for the halt;

"Thanks for uploading the announcement. Here’s a breakdown of what the trading halt for Elixir Energy (ASX:EXR) likely signals based on the exact language used:
    ---
    What We Know:

Reason for halt: “Organizational changes being made by Elixir Energy Limited”
Requested by the company (not ASX-initiated) — this is often a controlled and strategic move
Resumption deadline: Tuesday, April 15, unless an announcement comes earlier
    ---
    What This Could Mean:

    1. Executive Appointments or Resignations

    Could be:

A new CEO or technical lead with proven experience in gas development, M&A, or commercialisation
Resignation of a current director or exec following internal strategic shifts or performance reviews

Why this matters: Appointing a senior figure with ties to major energy players (e.g. Shell, Santos) often preludes a deal or pivot

    2. Board Restructure for M&A Readiness

Streamlining or expanding the board to:
    Facilitate negotiations
Prepare for a farm-in, JV or takeover

Create alignment for shareholder votes on strategic changes

Highly bullish if tied to incoming M&A or project execution capability
    3. Spin-out or Asset Re-focus

    EXR may be:

Preparing for a "cleaner" asset base attractive to buyers (Shell/Santos)
This move often precedes strategic sales or partnerships

    4. Formal Strategic Review Commencement

They could be announcing a formal review process to “maximise shareholder value”
This language almost always hints at talks underway with larger players or advisors engaged
Could lead to farm-outs, mergers, or outright bids
    ---
    What to Watch Next

The key signal will be who or what is announced:

If it’s a high-profile appointment from Shell, Santos, or even a PE-backed energy group—extremely bullish
If it’s a strategic review or simplification, expect price movement and M&A rumors to ramp up
If it’s underwhelming (minor reshuffle), the price may stay near current levels unless paired with forward guidance
    ---
Gut read based on timing, tone, and recent OMA momentum:

    > This feels like a setup for a larger play. Either a key person is stepping in, or EXR is aligning itself structurally for acquisition talks or a project monetisation path."

All fun and games. We'll find out next week what is actually going on.
