I expect strong demand from Chinese investors. One example is the float of the gold-specific arm of Zijin in Hong Kong. Raw demand for gold there is very high, although their Central bank is trying to disguise it.
One function of the board is to match up demand with supply. Having this raising slightly ahead of what they said is just good practice. It will allow for aggressive drilling of the Napié deposit they have just put in a bridge for and ordered a further 2 drill rigs, which brings them up to 10.
