I'm liking it - thanks for the charts.
I sat thinking that this is a bit like a blockbuster trilogy. You know the ultimate outcome, you know there's enough content to make 3 books worth, but you know there will be twists along the way. Decided I'd see what AI could pull together under my strict guidance and editing! The following is not investment advice...
The Flight of the Vertex
Book 1: "The Discovery & The Deal"
In a town where the gold rush ended a century ago... a new discovery shakes the foundations of everything.
Roger Jackson—stoic, calm, and unshakable, is about to change everything. In the dust and dirt of Hill End, Dennis, Roger's first underground mining specialist, isn’t in it for the fame—he’s deep in the Reward mine, ferreting about for the meaty veins of gold laden quartz. Meanwhile, the shareholders, fueled by optimism and cheap Merlot, slip a coin in the VTX coffers, toss another on the bar, and one to Billy—the local goat dancing around the pool cues on the pool table. Billy’s indifferent to the madness unfolding around him, only in it for the coin, but he’s the only one who truly understands the price of the land they’re sitting on. But the real centre of attention is POG... POG is something else entirely. The Price of Gold, personified—eccentric, absurdly rich, obnoxious, a bit of a pervert and a Grade A c^nt. He’s yelling at everyone, rarely making sense, but somehow always managing to make the shareholders want to believe him. Why? Because he's about to become a force no one can control.
As Roger, Dennis, and the team secure the mine, a loader and a drill, one thing is certain: POG’s wealth will keep expanding, and with it, the chaos. Get ready for a gold rush unlike anything you’ve never seen.Trailer Voice Over - Book 2: "The Funding & The First Haul"
In the heart of the mine... the first step is always the hardest.
With equipment rolling in and Dennis armed with a pick axe and a snorkel, the support systems are put in place. Roger is focused and relentless. The plan is clear—prove the concept with the stockpiles, start digging and get the mine producing. But as the plant is commissioned it’s clear that the first big step won’t be easy. The stockpiles produce overpriced clay. Dennis curses and kicks the water pump, Roger flings clay against the privvy walls, and POG outright shits himself in public as Trump shocks the investing world.
Back at the Hill End Pub, POG returns, half cleaned up after his recent indiscretion, and continues his loud and obnoxious reign of terror, riling up the shareholders. Billy wears it the hardest as more coin is flung into the VTX charity cup than at his feet as POGs wealth keeps growing unabated, and everyone fears an implosion. As the Merlot runs dry, some shareholders resort to the Chardonnay as Billy and Roger write out convertible notes to keep their asses in business. But Roger knows one thing: there’s hard rock underneath, and that’s where the real gold is. The chaos of the stockpiles is just a beginning, and it’s all leading to one inevitable conclusion. The gold rush isn’t just coming—it’s already here...Trailer Voice Over - Book 3: "The Madness of POG & The Never-Ending Veins"
The final chapter... gold’s madness reaches its peak.
As POG’s wealth grows at a rate that defies belief, he becomes more erratic than ever. His rants become legendary, and his wealth—absurd. Central banks can't get enough of him, and China is positively frothing. Vertex is drilling deeper into the earth than anyone ever expected, uncovering veins of gold so rich, they make the Holtermann nugget look like a withered McDonalds offcut. POG gets louder, always at the Hill End Pub, but now the shareholders are starting to believe him, and out comes the top shelf Cab Sav.
The shareholders are riding high, aware of just how much POG is growing. And with every new drill, the gold keeps coming—new veins of riches they never imagined. Each drill bit seems to uncover more and more of POG’s absurd offspring. A lift system is installed to get the gold up the hill to the Hotel.
But there’s a catch—more gold means more chaos. How long can they keep it all together? POG moves to the USA and spends his days simply shouting insults at stockbrokers on Wall Street, whilst the shareholders are on the bar, Billy rolling in coin. Roger joins and shouts the bar tab, whilst Dennis.... Dennis has a glint in his eye and can't be swayed from the Jumbo or the darkness. One thing is clear: there’s no stopping it now. Gold. Chaos. And a wealth that’s far from over.
