If you're going to do a raise it's no use fluffing around IMO. This will get us through more hiccups, which are probably most likely to come.
This is not a conventional operation so you can't expect everything to go as smoothly as you like.
I think the market will look favourably on this raising for the reasons above. I still think this is flying a bit under the radar. When looking at other goldies at this level I never see any comparisons that list Vertex in them.
I also don't think there is a problem with communication. They have to work all this out for themselves before they issue shoot from the hip announcements. Once the initial stages of the operation have been trouble shot and ploughed through progress should accelerate to more generally acceptable levels. Patience needed.
All just a different perspective.
