Converting those oppies would still not have got us to the number. And you know that.
They have 10 arms waitlisted to be hit with CHM CDH17 (as per the term sheet). Treatment is $760k per arm. CarT isn't cheap. We saw an announcement last week saying we need another 3 arms dosed before we have enough data to talk about partnership.
CHM has tried retail raises many times during its short existence. I know because I have participated in all of them. None of those raises reached the desired amount. Thats nadda, zero of them. CHM has just passed the hat around to retail again, and again, the targeted amount was missed. But now it's make or break time for the company. They need at least 3 more arms hit to be in with a chance of a partner. If they partner, the financial woes are gone.
Let's look at the term sheet again. Piggyback options are available if options are converted within 3 months. The CR requests were wound back. Seems to me that they are confident a pivot will be reached within 3 months. For a company tight on money to wind back money offered is a big thing. They must be pretty certain other undilutive funding is close, or they would have taken every cent they could get their hands on.
The share price would never run very far atm as the cost of trial vs. money in the bank is a huge risk. Before this CR we couldnt getbenough arms dosed to getbus where we needed to be. Stienie may say different and has been saying differently for a very long time, but that doesn't change reality. The financial pathway is the risk with CHM. This CR may have just removed that risk altogether if it gets us to a point where we can partner. That's how important it is.
There is never a sure thing. But this CR being over subscribed and done in record time is probably the best news CHM holders have had for a very long time.
The rest of this year seems to be building up to an exciting climax. If the drug works, and that's why I am here, the market cap will move to a more appropriate point when the financials are sorted with a partnership. If the drug doesn't work, I will have to spend more time on the other companies I have invested in.
Lets see how we go.
