those two are being negotiated separately perhaps and the timings did not line up. there are certain rules ASM has to follow as publicly listed company.
there could be number of reasons. there is no denying the SP gained a lot in recent days even though anyone with more than a single braincell knew there was CR coming. So, it's either a CR which includes new major holder that can help the company move forward (potential customer for example) or there is a deal coming in very near future. Normally when there is a CR on the card while the prospects to improve the company's future are poor the SP sinks. Opposite happened with ASM.
