If you're a sophisticated investor or work for an equity / super fund or for an investment bank, you get these updates basically automatically from the lead manager (JLM) facilitating the deal. It's usually sent to you in an email with the key terms and the indicative deal sheet right after the trading halt is called. This is how they JLMs do the bookbuild and get a sense on how much they'd raise and how strong the market is.
