I guess question two and three explains why they were so excited about the cre results. The cre obviously allows them to demonstrate without doubt the cell penetration, and i assume if the fpp is given systemically the cre can also be used to show specifically which cells were entered. My big question is still how specific actua lly are our fpp's. For example can we targert organs like liver etc without penetrating any other cells if given intravenously?? I guess that would be gold standard but at this stage not sure how specific we are/ can be. I guess that will be the big step in in vivo tests in that with in vitro we can easily isolate our target and show penetration but if we have full body range of cells in vivo may be much harder to impress.
