The problem with financing cash flow is that you can easily increase that by taking out more loans (or issuing shares).
So a company could be cashflow positive on a whole, but are achieving that by taking on new debt and/or issuing more shares.
Operating cashflow is a better measure of the health of a company.
Best if you can get their books - but you take what you can get.
