The problem - and it's a quality problem - is that the bulk of the shares are owned by the people who work at the place, so there is really a very small free float.
Meaning that the stock price gets whipsawed around by just small amounts of buying or selling at the margin.
Maybe some volume will appear after the stock goes ex-dividend tomorrow.
