A2M will not let Synlait go. They would lose control of a large pool of A2 herds. At the moment, between Synlait and Fonterra A2M largely control the production of A2 milk in NZ. Letting the Synlait herds go to a competitor would be daft. The A2M IP wouldn't protect them if they did so.
Awful update yesterday. Business model is only now getting an overhaul... at what cost to margins. Scary
