Its not strange. It is the way of the future.. bulk core dairy ingredients such as cheese, cream cheese and powdered milk and nutritional products produced under the Bega Bionutrients brand (such as lactoferrin and milk protein concentrate) will have a larger share of revenue and margins moving forward. Consumers are willing to pay a premium for these (specially lactoferrin, milk protein concentrate and powdered milk).
I also find it amazing that overseas markets (also under bulk) are willing to pay a premium from BGA products but not Australians. I've seen this first hand in Asia and Arab countries. I kid you not Australia is going to be the food bowl of these countries and that is nothing but good for our AG sector. But I digress. That's a discussion for another day...
