Interesting to see how it all plays out. The real driver will be just how much value the takeover merchants see in it. You can bet you bottom dollar that they’ll only be paying half to three quarters of what they see is its true value. Ruffy’s low ball, buck thirty five places the true value at around two bucks.
MCP is not insolvent. It has the potential to trade its way out of the mess the previous CEO inflicted on it. It will just need a couple of years to do so. But meanwhile it will still deliver dividends. Patience is the order of the day.
