Labor did say that, even going into the election. However they haven't done it yet despite the fact that there would be bipartisan support for it in the NSW Parliament and support across the community. If they wanted to pass the legislation for this tax year, they should have ideally done it before the end of June.
The fact they haven't and have essentially kicked it down the road makes me think the whole thing will be renegotiated.
