Scroll down a bit to see daily short action. In a word, massive. I strongly doubt this is for shorters profit. Especially as demographics, sector, trend-rising sp, and China-potential are present. Rather, it's for insto positioning for best yield, but moreso, I think, it's in line to benefit/institute a t/o. Friendly? Hostile? Bidding War?
Reminds me of the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times."
With the insto bit above in mind I think TA is of no consequence at all. The competing instos all have prescribed BUY targets/range, and will stick to it for their own purposes/strategies.
