Yes SGH got caught in the perfect storm of hubris and market change. I have had quite a bit to do on a profession level with the underlying companies of XIP over the years and they are filled with some very bright people. My concern with all consolidations is bright people and corporate processes are not normally very compatible. I have not looked enough into XIP to know if they are a good buy or not, but I worry about the whole idea of corporatisation of partnerships.
