Now that Symbion have taken up the CW poison chalice that Sigma assisted in creating in the first place, all is pointing in my mind to API and Sigma starting up merger discussions again.

API and Sigma held merger discussions years ago ...well they certainly entertained the idea.
If I remember correctly , they got a ruling from ACCC that it would block such a merger due to perceived reduced competition in the wholesale sector.
Would be a hurdle still imo.
