Many Bunnings customers probably don't see any difference between one shade cloth and another as they look more or less identical so price would be an important factor. I agree that competitors could set up with lower overheads than Gale & import from China, so I guess that is what is happening. Don't know whether this might also include the agricultural crop covers as well which would be a worry. Some Gale products are Australian made which I guess would not be competitive on a cost basis compared to made in China. I don't know that Gale's Cooleroo brand shadecloth had any real competition in the past, however it looks like times may be changing. Hopefully the company is able to gain market share in USA to make up for reduction here. regards
