well I think they just have an internal ledger and cross out the buy and sells. this way they don't need to execute it via exchange, thus saving settlement cost. if there's no 3rd party clearing process, then price execution is purely relying on the efficiency and accuracy of the platform. this is why I think SWF being HIN supported is a comparative advantage
