Ann: Trading Update, page-6

I have often posted - on the Day Traders' After-Market Lounge Thread -
comment about the often-occurring 1-pip variation -
in the all-at-1-price ASX auction trades after 4.00pm -
from the last trade by us non-manipulators before 4.00pm, even within the lastfew seconds.

In the last 20 seconds today (pre 4pm) there were 5 trades in ATP - 1 ASX& 4 CXA's - @ 3.7-3.8 , finishing at 3.7.
But unusally all auction trades took place at 4.0c - a 3-pip variation abovethe last of those 5 trades.

I've not seen this before - of such a variation of 3 pips -
but I guess it happens frequently with low-traded speccies, or tightlyheld, or low SOI (Shares on Issue) stocks.

1 other observation :
The Company's ANN was available per online broker websites at 3.13pm, but noton HC till 3.23pm.
The 1st trade - after the ANN - was @ 3.24.23pm.
This seems to be the practice of the ASX - i.e. no trades can take place for10 minutes straight after the time an ANN is released.
But that doesn't stop anyone placing a trade in that 10 minutes -if the trader has read the ANN on their broker website.
i.e. don't be possibly disadvantaged - as a trader or holder - by waiting toread such ANNs on HC during trading hours,
before you place/change an order.
For those of you statistically minded, and interested in the effect ofwhat can always happen again in future similar circumstances - by
late-in-the day ANNs :
in the next 5 MINUTES - after3.23pm - there were 37 trades in ATP for 2.77m
In the last 40 minutes - between 3.30 & 4.10pm - there were104 trades for 6.11m
i.e. 8.88m after the ANN was released, out of 9.66m for the whole day.
