That NSW section of the Sydney - Melbourne rail line finally reopened at about 1040 AEDT.
There's a bankup of Sydney to Perth and v.v., and Melbourne to Brisbane freight trains, some initially moving slowly, plus the diverted Perth to Sydney 'Indian Pacific' passenger train behind the freights on its first transcontinental run for months. LAU profit-enhancing railable containers are more important to us.
Compounding ongoing closure of the main NSW western rail line through the Blue Mountains, huge flooding at Broken Hill overnight has temporarily closed this major rail line. Typically, there'll be scouring of ballast. This link is an extreme, foreign example:

One man who inadvisedly drove his car through flood waters sadly died.
Separately, given earlier flooding on the Bruce Highway in Queensland, LAU airlifted some of its drivers out so I discovered when viewing a trucking subsector publication. Hopefully that's all resolved.
A question is whether LAU's contracts typically allow it to add surcharges for 'Act of God'/Force Majuere delays.
