Upon further reading it seems the reduced OEM parts demand is due to unmet demand for new vehicles causing a fall in sales rather than customer choice. Perhaps the RBA is going to help moderate demand and limited supply line up by lowering the demand, rather than the typical situation of rising rates where excess demand is being reigned in.
